Episode 6: Pinoy Friends Play FORCED (Gaming)

From the depths of the Steam Sale season, I was able to buy a 4-pack of FORCED! I still have a spare copy and I'm thinking of giving it away. Still thinking how though... :)

Let's Analyze! News and Other Posts

I've been thinking, what if we go beyond the titles and analyze all the posts that is being shared in your Facebook feed? I think it's a good idea specially when you discuss it with your friends! I'm planning to do this with my closest friends at first and I'll be posting the google hangouts page so everybody can participate! We can do it in English or Tagalog, as long as everyone can understand each other and I'll be recording these sessions and upload it on my Youtube channel. It'll be fun! I can already imagine it. Astig to pre! :D

For the mean time, check out my Youtube channel Vlog posts right HERE.

Orven Toaster's Vlog Post Episode 1

The first day of shooting and making Logo Studies

Just finished shooting my first vlog. It was a lot more fun than expected. It's like therapy for me. A lot of interesting thoughts were said there, but didn't make it into the final cut. I'm writing this now as I'm pre-rendering my work. It's taking a lot of time though. I didn't expect my phone's front camera to produce full HD videos at great quality. My PC is having a hard time rendering everything. I might need to overclock it a bit more tomorrow... I ended up having over 20 minutes of material. It might be pretty boring for some viewers though. That's my real worry here. Recently, more people have the attention span worse than fishes! Anyway, this is just the first step. I'll keep doing this everyday and keep track of my thoughts. I better have some sort of workflow now. I'll figure it out eventually.

Made some logo studies earlier tonight with the help of my best friends. Here are some of the works in progress we shared with each other.

This one was the first of the earlier studies we made today. I was into the red oven toaster thing cause I love the color red, simply put. I think red represents my personality the most. I copied the color scheme off the website my friend gave me which was https://color.adobe.com/explore/.
It has a great collection of pallets you can choose from.

This one is from another pallet. The drawing was made by my friend and I colored it myself. Girlfriend didn't dig the color scheme.

This is the remake of the first one. Everybody wasn't very sure with this one.

8-bit suddenly came into the table 'cause the previous ones were too... complicated looking. I think I'll be going with this one. :)

The Obligatory First Post

The year is 2016, I've recently quit my job and now trying to make something for myself where my soul won't be crushed by the hectic schedule, daily deadlines, and the long nightly meetings. But it wasn't all that bad. It was fun while it lasted!

"What was your job?", you might ask. Well, I was a writer for a local noontime show that airs in the biggest local TV station. There's a funny story on how I got the job, but for now... let me share some of my memories.

These are just a few of a hundred photos I took on the job.

I can share more but let's save those for later.
Now, onto to other things, is blogging still relevant?
Personally, I'm not sure. I don't have the data or the charts right now, but the safe guess is there aren't a lot of people who read articles beyond the headlines. That sucks because I'm sure there are a lot of great blog writers out there. This is just a test and it's worth a try. I'm not much of a writer though I was paid to do so just recently. I didn't have the right training to become a great writer. But here's to hoping that people might actually read this. Cheers!
